Rich Nazarian founded Minnetronix in 1996 with Jonathan Pierce and Dirk Smith and serves as the company’s CEO and Chairman of the Board. Rich is the principal inventor on 15 patents, the chief author on numerous papers on medical device development, and a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. Additionally, Rich was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist.
Rich is a leader in the development of new and innovative medical devices such as implantable artificial heart electronic systems and cardiopulmonary bypass systems, laser imaging systems, ventricular assist devices and nerve growth stimulators.
Prior to founding Minnetronix, Rich worked for 11 years as an electrical engineering specialist at 3M. Rich graduated from Stanford University with Bachelor and Master Degrees in Electrical Engineering.
