Julie Foster is currently president of Front Line Care at Baxter International, a global leader in medtech. In this role, Julie leads a portfolio of solutions spanning the continuum of care, including exam diagnostics, cardiology, patient monitoring and respiratory health.
Julie holds an impressive record in the medtech industry, with a background in both large public and early-stage start-ups, holding roles including chief operating officer, general manager, regional business vice president and global marketing vice president. Julie worked in various global leadership roles at Medtronic over the course of more than three decades, including in its Cardiovascular, Neuromodulation and Diabetes business segments. Her time at Medtronic included a cumulative 10 years living in Switzerland, leading businesses across Europe, Middle East and Africa. She has a reputation of overcoming challenges in complex organizations and regions while building high-performing cultures based on trust, care, and clarity of purpose.
Julie holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota and has completed executive business and marketing programs at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University, University of Minnesota and IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
