Melissa Michurski has been with the Food and Drug Administration since 2002. Prior to joining the FDA, she worked as an R&D Chemist doing formulation work for a cosmetic company. Melissa started her career as an Investigator in the Minneapolis District where she eventually specialized in pharmaceutical and medical device inspections. In 2009, she was selected as the FDA Investigator of the Year. In 2010, Melissa accepted a position in the Minneapolis District Compliance Branch as a Compliance Officer. She reviewed cases in all program areas, including medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Melissa is currently the Director of Compliance Branch for Office of Medical Devices and Radiological Health Operations (OMDRHO), Division 2. Her staff includes 8 Compliance Officers, 3 Recall Coordinators, and 1 Legal Assistant.
