Ahmed Elmouelhi, President and CEO of TRiCares, has over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, with deep expertise spanning strategy, sales and marketing, R&D, and clinical science. Under Ahmed’s leadership, the Company has achieved several key milestones in developing a Transfemoral Tricuspid Heart Valve Replacement system for tricuspid regurgitation, secured more than €70 million in funding and established operations in the US, Germany, France, and Brazil.
Prior to joining TRiCares, Ahmed served as Senior Vice President of Product Marketing, Strategy, and Business Development at AtriCure, where he played a key role in establishing Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) therapies and building two successful business franchises. Earlier in his career, Ahmed held senior roles at Medtronic within its Structural Heart division and AGA Medical (now part of Abbott Laboratories), where he led cross-functional teams to launch multiple generations of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement therapies and accessories, as well as therapies for Congenital Heart Defects and percutaneous LAA devices.
Ahmed holds a Masters and Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He currently serves as the Chairman of the American Heart Association in Minnesota.
