Scott Stanslaski is Sr. Distinguished Engineer and Bakken Fellow in Neuromodulation at Medtronic PLC, the world’s largest medical device manufacturer. In that role, Scott helps design next generation circuit and algorithm technologies for the treatment of chronic neurological disease.
Scott is in his 30th year working on the design of implantable products and algorithm development at Medtronic. 13 of those years were spent in the cardiac business designing pacing and defibrillation devices. The last 17 have been spent in Neuromodulation working on design of implantable brain sensing devices. This work has led to the first demonstration of closed loop adaptive Deep Brain Stimulation in an implanted device in a Parkinsonian patient.
Scott received a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering at The University of Minnesota.
