Mike Pederson is Abbott’s Senior Vice President, Cardiac Arrhythmias and Heart Failure. He was appointed to this role in July 2017.
Mike joined Abbott in 2015, as Divisional Vice President, Abbott Electrophysiology, to help Abbott build a cardiac arrhythmia business through a combination of strategic acquisitions and organic growth.
Prior to his current role at Abbott, Mike served as Chief Executive Officer of VytronUS, Inc. In total, Mike has more than 25 years in the medical device industry and has held leadership roles supporting cardiac rhythm management, vascular and electrophysiology businesses within Guidant, Boston Scientific and Abbott.
Mike takes pride in the life-changing technologies that Abbott offers. “Our work allows patients to live longer and better,” he says. “Patients that get our devices go from not being able to climb stairs or do other daily activities to living active lives.”
Mike received his bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison; and his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
