Andreas Pfahnl, ScD is President & CEO of Kobara Medical Inc, which is developing new cardiac rhythm management procedures and neuromodulation therapies. His expertise is in business leadership and commercializing advanced technologies.
He previously spent over 9 years at Devicix / Nortech Systems, which provide contract medical device product development and manufacturing services with facilities across Minnesota, and in Mexico and China. Over 25 development projects during his leadership tenure there involved or resulted in regulatory clearance and/or commercialization. Medical device projects covered major clinical markets, and ranged from complex electromechanical/software systems to single-use disposables and implants.
He teaches at the University of St. Thomas, and previously held management and engineering leadership positions at Amphenol and Teradyne, and was an adjunct faculty at the University of Massachusetts. He holds doctoral and master’s degrees from MIT, and completed his bachelors at Rensselaer with studies at the ETH-Z.
