Amra is the Director of Regulatory Intelligence and Strategy at Abbott. In her role, Amra is responsible for identifying, anticipating and analyzing a broad range of changing and emerging regulatory policy and legislation issues that have the potential to impact the company. She also helps to develop strategies and mitigation plans to anticipate and address policy or legislation trends.
Amra has spent over two decades in the healthcare industry. Most of her career was dedicated to the regulatory affairs function and much of that time was spent at Medtronic as well as Bayer AG. At Medtronic, she enjoyed a variety of regulatory roles, including driving the regulatory strategy alignment for Medtronic’s Sterilization Transformation worldwide. She was focused on building regulatory agency partnership collaboration in order to influence new regulatory guidelines and policymaking for industry-wide sterilization of medical devices.
Amra also enjoys working as an adjunct professor at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota where she teaches International Regulatory Affairs for Medical Devices. She holds a BS in Business Administration and an MBA with Management Focus from Walden University in Minneapolis.
